ERNI The ERmet ZD from ERNI Components is the most capable differential board-to-backplane connector available today and it is dual sourced. This connector is designed to be used in conjunction with the ERmet 2mm HM and other Eurocard compatible connectors. The ERmetZD was chosen by the PICMG 3.0 committee to implement the new AdvancedTCA 3.125 Gb/s fabric switch. Already executed in two and four pair wide modules there are many other planned extensions to this new product line. The 3 pair modules should be available in February and the design work on the four pair vertical female is almost complete. The ERmetZD has been demonstrated to work at 10 Gb/s in a pressfit Rogers4350 backplane and at 5 Gb/s in standard FR-4 over lengths. |
